Failure·PointPrivacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Failure Point ("the app", "we", "us") handles your information. Failure Point is a training logbook for High Intensity Training. We have built it to collect as little personal data as possible.

The short version

Information we process

Workout and training data (exercises, sets, reps, weights, rest days, notes) is stored locally on your device. It is not transmitted to us unless you explicitly export or share it yourself.

Waitlist email. If you join the waitlist on this website, we collect your email address and store it with Resend, our email provider, so we can send the launch email you requested. We do not sell the list or use it for third-party advertising.

Website analytics. If you allow analytics in the cookie banner, the website loads Google Analytics so we can understand which pages are read and improve the site. If you decline, analytics is not loaded. The consent choice is stored in your browser.

Bot protection. If Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled on the waitlist form, Cloudflare receives the challenge token and related request information needed to verify that the signup is not automated.

Purchase information. When you buy a subscription or a one-time unlock, the transaction is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed through RevenueCat, our subscription infrastructure provider. They receive a purchase identifier and receipt so we can unlock your entitlement and restore purchases across your devices. We do not receive or store your payment-card information. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Diagnostics and usage — on your device only. The app records basic diagnostic and usage information (such as errors and which features you use) to help it run reliably. In this version, that information is processed entirely on your device and is not sent to us or any third party. This app statement is separate from optional website analytics described above.

What we do not do

Legal basis & your rights

Where the UK GDPR / EU GDPR applies, the only data we process off your device is the purchase information above, waitlist email information you submit, bot-protection checks when enabled, and website analytics after consent. We process purchase information to perform the purchase you request, waitlist email on consent, analytics on consent, and security checks on our legitimate interest in protecting the signup form. Because your workout, diagnostic, and usage data all stay on your device, you can delete every bit of app data at any time by deleting the data within the app or uninstalling it.

Data retention

On-device data — including your workouts, diagnostics, and usage — persists until you delete it or uninstall the app. Purchase records are retained by Google Play, the App Store, and RevenueCat in line with their standard retention periods. Waitlist emails are retained until launch or until you ask us to remove yours.

Children

Failure Point is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
